The Christian Board of Education will host a trip to attend a graduation ceremony at the Guiding Eyes for the Blind School in Yorktown Heights, New York. We’ll leave from the church parking lot, with possible car pool options, at 10:30 am and return in the mid-afternoon.
During our 10:00 a.m. worship service staff and residents of the Pivot Ministries from Bridgeport, CT will sing and give testimony about the life-changing impact of Jesus on men’s deliverance from drug addiction. The church will host a lunch for the residents from Pivot and church members.
It’s that time of the year again to support our Diaper Bank!
This event was established to help raise diapers and funds to support our Diaper Bank program here in Stamford. Our program helps parents in Stamford by providing them with a bag of diapers and wipes once a month. This helps the family offset the rising cost of purchasing diapers for their child(ren).
Each year we ask individuals and/or companies who own trucks to participate, that way the children who come to the event have a wonderful time. Each year we are blessed to have participation from The Stamford Police Department, the police bomb task force, Stamford Fire Department, EMS, the Ferguson Library on wheels, garbage trucks, pick-up trucks, food trucks, and many more. We also have had small “booths” with local vendors, doctors/dentists, organizations, and agencies participate and promote their services.
Hosted by Union Lodge No. 5 & Union Memorial Church
Come join us as we raise money to help support Shriners Hospital for Children!
Inflatable Slides, Obstacle Course, Bounce House, Dunk Tank, Members of the Shriners and Motor patrol, (those little red cars from parades), Food, Games, Money Wheel, 50/50 Raffle, Giveaways, Music and more!
$5 entry fee, play all day!
All proceeds will go directly to the hospital which will help provide life changing medical care to children who need our help. Through your generosity, we will be able to help children reach their potential and lead more fulfilling lives, regardless of the families’ ability to pay for their medical needs.
This event will be in the large parking lot at the end of the street owned and provided by Union Memorial Church.

In observation of the Lord’s Last Supper, all are invited to light supper. Please bring either a small loaf of bread to share or jars of peanut butter to be donated to the Food Bank. After the meal we will meet in the sanctuary to share communion and observe Tenebrae, a somber ceremony during which we extinguish candles to dramatize the darkness that came over the land when Jesus was killed
