Trunk-or-treat brings Halloween to our parking lot where kids go from car to car and trick or treat. Volunteers decorate their cars and themselves and provide treats for the children. The local fire department lets kids sound their sires, and antique cars have joined in the past as well. A food truck is provided for refreshment.
A $5/child fee applies, and the money goes to support the Kyle Cruz Scholarship at the Wilderness School 240 North Hollow Road in East Hartland, Connecticut 06027

Designed as a journey experience, our program is based upon the philosophies of experiential learning and is considered therapeutic for the participant. Studies have documented the Wilderness School's impact upon the self esteem, increased locus of control (personal responsibility), and interpersonal skill enhancement of adolescents attending the program. http://www.portal.ct.gov/DCF/Wilderness-School/Home
